We offer wine tastings Wednesday – Saturday from 10am – 5pm. For a list of our admission events click Events. We hope you have a chance to share it with us.
La Belle Amie Vineyard, an operating vineyard open to the public, is located in the Grand Strand Area of South Carolina. The Vineyard is a popular attraction for visitors to our wonderful beaches (Pawley’s Island, Litchfield, Murrell’s Inlet, Garden City, Surfside, Myrtle Beach, and North Myrtle Beach) and hosts many popular festivals throughout the year.
Need some gift ideas? Our gift shop features many wine accessories and unique gifts. After shopping have a glass of wine and enjoy the live afternoon music. For details of our wine shop specials, click Specials
The entrance road leading to the tasting room and gift shop winds past vineyard #1, an old tobacco barn, and the duck pond. Families, buses and tour groups are welcome, and picnic areas are provided for our customers. The vineyard is part of a former tobacco plantation that has been owned by the Bellamy family since the 1800’s. La Belle Amie, meaning “the beautiful friend,” is the European origin of the family name.
We hope you have the time to visit us. We promise it will be one of the highlights of your stay.

April 5, 2021: This long, dark, cold covid night is fading, finally, in the dawning light of a warm morning sun. We are beginning preparations for reopening La Belle Amie Vineyard. Our hope is to greet customers by the end of spring, but this hope is directly dependent on the status of the covid pandemic. A covid surge may cause opening delays.
Initially, we will only be open on Saturdays, our full concert days. Additional Days will be added as our stamina allows.
We have missed all of your smiles these past many months. Sadly, there are those we know who have been taken by covid who will be forever missed. 9,200+ covid deaths in South Carolina over the past year…an average of one death every hour of every day for the past 385 days since we were last open on March 14, 2020. It is heartbreaking.
So, please stay safe. Wear your mask, wash you hands, socially distance, and get vaccinated when possible. We will be open again as soon as it is safe.
Festival Concert Club Memberships will be extended by the amount of time the vineyard grounds have been closed. Gift Certificates do not bear expiration dates and will be valid anytime after we reopen.
Cheers to all! Vicki, Owner
March 15, 2021: La Belle Amie Vineyard will remain completely closed at least through the end of April. Now is the time to remain ever vigilant against this deadly virus. Hoping all follow public health protocols to remain safe so that we may resume our concerts in the near future. Vicki, owner.
JJanuary 13, 2021 – Covid 19 pandemic has never been as widespread or dangerous as it currently is. La Belle Amie Vineyard will remain completely closed at least through the end of March. I implore all to use the only tools you have to protect yourself and others from Covid. Keep your distance, wear your mask, and wash your hands. And get vaccinated when it is available. Stay super safe and I hope to see all at some time in the near future. Vicki, owner.
October 5, 2020 – Status Update: According to the SC DHEC the percent positive Covid test rate remains in double digits at 13.8% and the number of Covid deaths in SC has surpassed 3,400. SC has almost as many Covid deaths as NC, a state with twice the population of SC.
With the flu season upon us and the number of national Covid deaths projected to be as high as 400,000+ Americans by year’s end, all concert events at La Belle Amie Vineyard for the remainder of the year have been canceled. We will remain closed until further notice.
I have heard from many, many customers how tired they are of Covid and want/need La Belle Amie Vineyard to reopen. I, too, am beyond weary of Covid, and my ongoing monthly expenses are an ever present reminder of the economic pain Covid is causing not just me, but many others. But as tired as we all are of Covid, Covid is not yet tired of or finished with us. Many thousands more will die from Covid in the coming months. Perhaps because Covid is an invisible enemy we simply underestimate or even disbelieve it. But the stark probability is that total US deaths from Covid in the pandemic’s first full year alone will most likely exceed all of the US military and civilian deaths (approx. 419,000) during four years of WW2. That is sobering, and sad.
I implore all to use the only tools you have to protect yourself and others from Covid. Keep your distance, wear your mask, and wash your hands. Stay super safe and I hope to see all when we resume our concerts in the near future. Vicki, owner.
P.S. – Concert Club Memberships will be extended by the amount of time we remain closed.
July 22, 2020: According to the SC DHEC, the number of new covid cases for July will exceed 60,000 (not 45,000 as projected three weeks ago), and the average rate of new covid infection currently is 20%, or 1 in every 5 individuals tested. SC DHEC’s current estimate for new covid cases in August is 17,651 per week (or 78,000+ for the month.) It is heartbreaking to see this ongoing precipitous rise in covid cases. So unnecessary and avoidable. La Belle Amie Vineyard will remain closed at least through October. Keep your distance, wear your mask, wash your hands. Stay super safe! Vicki, Owner.
June 30, 2020: According to the SC DHEC, the number of new covid cases will increase to 45,000+ for July, and the average rate of new covid infection currently is 1 in every 6 individuals tested. La Belle Amie Vineyard will remain closed at least through August. Keep your distance, wear your mask, wash your hands. Stay super safe! Vicki, Owner.
June 17. 2020: According to the SC DHEC, the number of new daily covid cases substantially increased to 20,000 + each month, and the average rate of covid infection has doubled in the past two weeks. La Belle Amie Vineyard will remain closed at least through July. Keep your distance, wear your mask, wash your hands. Stay super safe! Vicki, Owner.
May 3, 2020: La Belle Amie Vineyard will remain closed until it is safe for our staff and customers to congregate. Social interaction among the customers, concert musicians, staff and us is the very core of our music events. Its what gives purpose and motivation for those who visit, and re-visit, La Belle Amie Vineyard. Our vineyard concert gatherings have been deeply gratifying to many for years.
But, covid infections and deaths are still occurring at an alarming rate, and the public health “protections” in place today are the same as existed on March 14, 2020, the last day we were open. Worse, the covid contagion is more pervasive today than seven weeks ago.
We harbor hope that a vaccine/remedy will be developed so that society as we knew it can begin its resurgence. That may take many months, and we hate that it may be that long before we see you again. However, with an abundance of caution for all– staff, musicians, customers, friends and us– we choose to remain closed until effective and accessible public health protections exist for your welfare, and ours.
Please be cautious and stay safe. We miss all of you very much and look forward to sharing music & wine together down the road.
